Merge two databases

Merge two databases

Postby crystalclear » Tue Oct 07, 2014 9:23 pm

Suppose I run FinalGen on a computer and have some files created on that PC. Then I run FinalGen with another problem on another PC.

Can I then merge the two databases somehow? I mean have one set of FinalGen files that will correctly inform me about positions resulting from either starting position.

Thanks.

I am sorry,
The feature you are talking about is very interesting, but it is not available.
For the moment, the only way to use both generations is switching between folders.

Okay. Thank you for the reply.

It is a pity that generated data from FinalGen users cannot be merged and pooled.
However I understand that the purpose of FinalGen is studying ad hoc endgame positions and not to generate a super endgame tablebase.
